A Sign Of Things To Come

Is there any daily occurrence nicer than a packet of happiness arriving in the mail? Say, for instance, an envelope from the Sydney Opera House...

This envelope is like a harbinger of spring and summer, a season in which Sydney parades out boundless entertainment options. Like, for instance - my wish finally comes true - Ira Glass in Sydney, as part of the Sydney Festival. 

(Are you trying to imagine what kind of person is equally excited over over Kathy Griffin and Ira Glass? 

I am large, I contain multitudes). 

I expect more concerts in the Domain, more fabulous shows to attend, more artsiness everywhere, more picnics in more parks, more beaches and boats, and of course, more fireworks. Like a little sprout peeping my head above ground, I'm sticking one bare toe outdoors to test for warming temperatures, and holding on tight to an envelope that signals the beginning of Sydney's most wonderful time of the year.
