The Littlest Nipper

Many of the beaches here have a program for kids called Nippers where, from age 5, they learn about beach safety and surf rescue. They are about the cutest thing ever.

As a former hard core swim team kid, I must admit that Nippers are way cuter.

I have been fantasizing about enrolling my future 5 year old in an adorable Little Nippers class since before I was even pregnant. So, to get a head start, I bought a surfer-inspired outfit to bring my wee nipper home from the hospital in. It's shaped like a wet suit and has a surf board print. Unfortunately, as I've mentioned before, my surf babe came out way too tiny to wear her pre-nipper gear.

Finally, at 9 weeks old, Little Aussie is big enough to fit into her "newborn" outfit. My homage to her being the first in our family to have Australian citizenship and her future nipperhood.
